TALENTVIEW’S EMPLOYER BRANDING SUMMIT BRINGS TOGETHER HUNDREDS OF HR LEADERS AND MARKETERS IN ASIA
PASIG CITY, PHILIPPINES (2 June 2017) – At the Employer Branding Summit Asia last May 25, 2017, over 250 HR and branding leaders from 9 countries and nearly 100 organizations gathered at the New World Hotel, Makati City, Philippines for a day of learning and networking.
With the theme “Creating a winning candidate experience through strategy, design and technology,” TalentView, the employer branding partner of ASEAN organizations, brought together subject-matter experts, HR leaders, and people technology providers from around the world to talk about best practices in employer branding and how it can be applied across the region’s HR landscape.
Social and technology
With Simon Kemp, Global Consultant of digital marketing agency ‘we are social,’ leading with the keynote on “Supercharge Your Employer Brand on Social Media,” the event started with a lot of conversation around social media as one of the powerful tools and channels to showcase employer value propositions to its target audience.
According to Kemp, “Social is now a key part of any job search. HR teams need to build this into their strategies.”
Social media and technology themes resonated loudly throughout the event with technology leaders like LinkedIn, Hootsuite, Talegent, and PhoenixATS bringing global insights on the use of disruptive, game-changing innovations in the talent acquisition and engagement space.
Asked about the investments involved around using tech for social recruiting, Gillian Hamilton Rogers, Hootsuite’s APAC Partner Manager, says, “You can put dollar values against time, effort, and money savings. That’s your business case for tech.”
Fun and inspiring
During her closing session about “The Future of Employer Branding,” Anj Vera, CEO of TalentView, shared that the Employer Branding Summit Asia 2017 is the most ambitious conference ever organized by the TalentView team. Without aid from third-party event organizers, TalentView was able to draw delegates, sponsors, technology disruptors and a strong lineup of speakers, panelists and moderators from around the world to converge in a truly global event.
Vera shared, “Our vision for the summit is to bring together HR professionals, marketers, and communication specialists to talk about the employee experience. I believe we achieved that today.”
Albeit its first, TalentView has received accolades about the event content and organization.
Tim Lehman of Hootsuite shared, “The conference provided powerful insights, high-quality connections and thought-provoking discussions. It was fun, informative and memorable.”
Dennis Salipsip, P&A Grant Thornton Manager for Recruitment, People & Culture commented, “Thank you for having us there as well. It was a very well organized and executed event. I was really impressed.”
Asked whether there will be an Employer Branding Summit Asia next year, Vera remarked, “We owe it to the industry to keep conversations around employer branding going. This is why we exist. We want to make the employee experiences of everyone more worthwhile wherever they may be working.”
